Le Savetier

A stone house built in the 16th century as a shoemaker’s workshop. This traditional Languedoc house is situated on the corner of Shoemaker and Washerwomen lanes, in the heart of Caunes-Minervois .

The three-story house has an individual spirit, with shuttered windows, exposed beams. It is furnished with antiques found in the local brocante markets, and decorated with paintings, posters and fabrics which reflect the history of the surrounding area.

It has been restored with love and good plumbing, and it has a pretty courtyard leading off the kitchen area, ideal for breakfast, aperitifs or serious meals.

Le Savetier has two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, sitting room and kitchen area, as well as a washing machine, TV and music system.

Like all our houses, it comes with books and CD’s. The rent covers linen, towels, heating and firewood.
