L'Ecritoire is a little jewel of a house. It was built around 1400, of local stone. L’Ecritoire comprises a pretty bedroom, study, one-and-a-half bathrooms, a very well equipped kitchen and dining room. Upstairs is a delightful sunny sittingroom opening onto a roof-top terrace.
L’Ecritoire is located on a narrow street in the heart of medieval Caunes. L’Ecritoire has Satellite TV, a stereo system, plenty of CD’s, as well as pictures and fabrics found in the many brocanteurs of the Aude.
L’Ecritoire was designed with writers and artists in mind, but it would suit anyone who wanted to work or read, or use the excellent kitchen in peace and tranquillity, surrounded by books, music pictures. L'Ecritoire has a phone line for those who want to plug in a computer, as well as a printer.
The house is perfect for a couple, or for anyone wanting to spend time in a traditional village house in a very pretty Southern French village. There is space, light and comfort. The rooftop terrace is a perfect spot for summer lunch, or an evening aperitif.
